My mom and dad made the trek (via a 4.5 hour flight) to visit me in my new digs here in New York. They landed late at the Buffalo airport last Wednesday night and stuck around until Tuesday afternoon (which was their 32nd wedding anniversary!).
On Thursday we went to Lowe's and bought the stuff we needed to do some home repairs I couldn't do myself and then spent the afternoon exploring the town.
Friday I was at work all day, so they entertained themselves by going to Watkins Glen and spending the afternoon exploring Ithaca. We ended the night by watching the BYU game.
We spent a rainy Saturday at the local outlet mall for a couple of hours and then spent the afternoon at the Mormon history sites in Palmyra. The night ended with more football - this time the Utah/Washington game
It rained again on Sunday, but between storms we got in a tour of a local winery and vineyard and a tour of campus. And then watched a lot of football!
Monday I was at work all day, so they got in the car and drove. They spent hours driving old country roads looking at the very pretty fall colors.
Tuesday was spent at Niagara Falls before dropping them at the airport. We rode the Maid of the Mist and did some hiking and walking around the state park there.
The visit was great - I know I'm lucky to have parents I enjoy spending time with rather than parents whose visits I dread (some of that might be due to the fact they never stay longer than a week!). Below are a couple of my favorite pictures from the visit followed by links to the full photo albums on Picasa. When are you coming to visit?

We're coming next year! Although I'm sure all you want is the little ones. They make for an exciting trip! (This is Emily by the way, I can't comment on here unless I do it as anonymous.)
